What Do You Actually Want to Grow?
More followers.
More clients.
More engagement.
More revenue.
We're constantly being told to grow our businesses. And growth can absolutely be a good thing. But have you ever stopped to ask yourself what you're actually trying to grow toward?
Because sometimes we get so focused on getting bigger that we forget why we wanted a business in the first place.
Maybe you want more clients because you genuinely have more room to serve people. Great.
But maybe you're saying yes to every client because you feel like you should, even though you're already overwhelmed.
Maybe you want more revenue because you want to pay off debt, create financial breathing room, give more generously, take your family on vacation, or eventually work fewer hours.
That's a completely different goal than simply wanting a bigger number in your bank account.
Maybe you want more followers because you want to reach more people with your message. That's great too.
But if you're chasing followers because you feel like your business isn't successful enough until you hit a certain number, you might be chasing something that doesn't actually make your life better.
This is why I think it's so important to ask yourself, "What do I actually want to grow?"
Not just your business.
Your life.
What do you want your business to make possible?
Maybe it's more time with your kids. Maybe it's the freedom to take a day off when you need one. Maybe it's being able to support your family. Maybe it's having the flexibility to travel. Maybe it's creating space for your health, your relationships, your faith, or the things you love.
Once you know what you're actually working toward, your business decisions become a lot clearer.
You can stop saying yes to every opportunity simply because it brings in money. You can stop jumping onto every new social media strategy because someone told you it's the fastest way to grow. You can stop comparing your numbers to someone else's.
Instead, you can ask, "Does this help me build the business and life I actually want?"
So take a few minutes this week and write down three things you want your business to make possible in your life.
Not business goals.
Life goals.
Then look at what you're currently doing in your business and see if your actions are actually moving you toward those things.
Because growth isn't the goal just for the sake of growth.
The goal is to grow the right things.
And sometimes the best business decision you can make isn't asking, "How can I get more?"
It's asking, "More of what?"
If you're ready to grow your business online with intention, not just chase numbers, I'd love to help you create a strategy that makes sense for your goals.
